Ex-tropical Cyclone Tam
Ex-tropical Cyclone Tam has brought severe weather to New Zealand’s North Island with heavy rain and strong winds reaching up to 130 km/h. The storm has led to fallen trees, hazardous driving conditions, and power outages, affecting both residents and travellers during the Easter weekend.
This Cyclone event is now widely reported in the media, meaning any policies purchased after 12:00pm, AEST 17 April 2025 will not provide cover for losses arising from this event.
This does not impact cover provided by policies purchased prior to this time, subject to the terms of the policy.
