Dubai Floods

On Tuesday 16 April 2024, heavy rainfall fell over the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, causing major flooding and widespread damage. Dubai International Airport’s runways are submerged in water, and access to the airport by road has been limited. Flights continue to be delayed and cancelled and the disruption to travel is anticipated to be significant.

Policies purchased after 6:00am, AET on Wednesday 18 April 2024 will not provide cover for losses arising from this flooding event as the event is now widely reported in the media.

This does not impact cover provided by policies purchased prior to this time, subject to the terms of the policy.
